Dùn Cana takes its name from the Gaelic name of the highest hill on Raasay. This second edition from the Isle of Raasay Distillery vats peated and unpeated single malt and is bottled at 52% in a 70cl bottle. It is non-chill-filtered and keeps its natural colour. The whisky first matured in former American rye whiskey casks, then spent nine months in 125-litre Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso sherry quarter casks. Pepper spice, sultanas and vanilla sit alongside sherry fruit, salted chocolate and a hint of aromatic wood smoke. The nose brings sherry, raisins and dried fruit, sweet spices and light smoke. The palate is full, with dark chocolate, dates, toffee and oak spice. The finish is long, spicy and fruity.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
