The Chinkapin is a lightly peated single malt from Isle of Raasay, and the first single malt matured entirely in casks of North American chinkapin oak. It is made only from Scottish barley.
The peated and unpeated distillates matured separately, in heavily toasted new casks and in refill chinkapin casks, and were then vatted together for a final maturation. Batch C-01.1.1 is bottled at 50.2% ABV, without added colour or chill filtration.
