J.J. Corry The Cross Batch 3 (50cl, 46%)

The Cross Batch 3 is an Irish blended grain whiskey from J.J. Corry, bottled at 46% in a 50cl bottle. It combines grain whiskeys from several Irish distilleries and is non-chill-filtered and of natural colour. The whiskey matured in three former bourbon casks, then received a finish in a cask that had held Citra Tuxedo Black IPA from Western Herd brewery. This third edition was a collaboration between Louise McGuane of Chapel Gate Whiskey and Mareike Spitzer of Irish Whiskeys. It was presented in October 2021, and 120 bottles were filled. The nose has apricot and citrus zest with malt and vanilla. On the palate, candied orange meets malt and bitter almond, with a fruit salad note. The finish is medium, with bitter almond and citrus.
