Jaan Premium Whisky is a Canadian wheat whisky bottled at 40% in a 75cl bottle. It starts as a single grain wheat whisky matured in oak for at least three years.
The distinctive step is a second maturation in casks that previously held paan liqueur, a spirit inspired by the South Asian betel leaf preparation. It brings herbal and spiced character to the whisky.
The nose is floral with deep cherry, toasted spice, clove and frangipane. The palate is smooth and mellow, with sweet spice, tropical fruit, charred mango and marmalade. The finish is very long, with clove and dried herbs.
