Jack Daniel's – Sinatra Select (1L, 45%)

Jack Daniel's Sinatra Select is a Tennessee whiskey made as a tribute to Frank Sinatra, who called Jack Daniel's "the nectar of the gods". It was launched in 2013 to mark his 50-year relationship with the brand, and comes in a 1 litre bottle at 45%. The whiskey is aged in specially designed barrels with extra deep grooves cut into the staves, which expose it to more oak. It is charcoal mellowed through sugar maple before ageing, and bottled at a higher strength than Old No. 7. The nose is toasted oak, vanilla and caramel with dried fruit and spice. Orange zest, butterscotch and baking spice come through on the palate, and the finish is long and warm, with honeyed oak, toffee and a little leather.
