Jameson 12 Year Old Special Reserve, labelled '1780', is an Irish blend of pot still and grain whiskey from the Midleton distillery in County Cork. This 1-litre bottle dates from the 1980s and is bottled at 40% ABV. The whiskey was matured in bourbon and oloroso sherry casks, and its colour is rich gold with amber highlights. The nose offers creamy cereals, grassy pot still character, raisin and sultana, spicy oak and cocoa butter. The palate is silky, with semi-dried peach, crisp cereal, honey and toasted wood. The finish is medium to long, herbal and warming, with oak, honey and soft fruit.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
