Jameson Irish Whiskey is a triple-distilled blended Irish whiskey in a one-litre bottle, bottled at 40% ABV. It is produced at the New Midleton Distillery in County Cork.
The blend joins pot still whiskey, made from malted and unmalted Irish barley, with lighter column-distilled grain whiskey. It is matured in seasoned American oak bourbon barrels and Spanish sherry casks.
The nose is warm caramel and vanilla with buttery cereal, mint and dried orange peel. The palate is light and gently sweet, with butterscotch, honeyed cereal, green apple, pear and white pepper. The finish is clean and short, with vanilla and fresh oak.
