Midleton Very Rare is an annual-release Irish blend of single pot still and single grain whiskeys, bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle. It is made at the New Midleton Distillery in East Cork. The components were matured for between twelve and twenty years in ex-bourbon American oak barrels. Each year's bottling is a marriage of fewer than 100 casks chosen one by one by the Master Distiller, and every bottle is individually numbered and signed. The nose brings honey, dried apricot, sandalwood and golden syrup. On the palate, toffee and vanilla give way to milk chocolate, peaches and pot still spice, with espresso and burnt sugar. The finish is long and gently sweet, with cinnamon and burnt orange.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
