Jameson is a triple-distilled blended Irish whiskey in a 200ml bottle, bottled at 40% ABV. It is made at the New Midleton Distillery in County Cork and has no age statement.
The blend combines single pot still whiskey with grain whiskey made from maize in column stills, and it is aged in a mix of ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks.
The nose is slightly floral, opening into vanilla, crème brûlée and toffee with a thread of spice. The palate brings spicy caramel, almond and a nutty malt warmth. The finish is medium in length, with sherry sweetness, dried fruit, a touch of leather and a little tobacco.
