Jameson Single Pot Still Five Oak Cask Release is an Irish single pot still whiskey bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. This is batch 1 of 2023, hand-selected by master distiller Kevin O'Gorman.
It was matured in ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks together with Irish, European and American virgin oak. The nose brings cinnamon and nutmeg with toasted oak, honey and salted caramel, and citrus in the background. Dark chocolate, spiced toffee and fresh ginger lead the palate, which has a silky texture. The finish fades slowly, leaving spice and oak.
