Jaywalk – 7 Year Old Heirloom Rye (Single Barrel 1065)

Jaywalk Heirloom Rye is a single barrel rye whiskey aged for 7 years and bottled at cask strength. Its mash includes 75% Horton Rye, an heirloom rye variety that has not been grown commercially since the 1800s. The nose offers ripe banana, Tootsie Roll and light caramel, with hints of birch and strawberry shortcake. On the palate, cinnamon and saffron recall Red Hots or Hot Tomales sweets, alongside dusty rye and a touch of toffee.
