This is a Jim Beam Kentucky straight bourbon in a bowling pin decanter, the bottled in bond version, from the 1970s. It is 50% ABV and comes in a 70cl bottle.
Bowling pin decanters began in 1952, part of a long run of Jim Beam decanters made from the 1950s into the early 2000s. This bourbon was aged longer than today's white label Jim Beam and bottled at the higher strength that was standard then.
The nose is crisp oak with baked bread and toffee. The palate has a subtle sweetness with rich toasted oak and light char, and the finish is warm and clean, with a hint of sweetness.
