Johnnie Walker Blue Label Elusive Umami is a limited edition blended Scotch whisky, created by Master Blender Dr. Emma Walker together with Kei Kobayashi, a chef who holds three Michelin stars. It comes at 43% ABV in a 750ml bottle. The blend was built around the savoury taste of umami. It draws on casks from both inland and coastal distilleries, each hand-picked at the height of its maturation for that character. Only one cask in 25,000 is said to bring it out. It is described as a balance of savoury and sweet, with a subtle richness.
