Johnnie Walker Double Black is a blended Scotch whisky inspired by Black Label, bottled at 40% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It is smoky in style.
It uses a higher proportion of peated malt whiskies from Scotland's west coast, and is matured in heavily charred oak casks.
The palate opens with vanilla, dried fruit and creamy toffee, then moves to smoky peat, charred oak and warming spice, with hints of dark chocolate, orange zest and liquorice. The finish is long, with sweet smoke, oak and gentle peppery spice.
