Jura – 12 Year Old (70cl)

Jura 12 Year Old is a single malt from the Isle of Jura in the Hebrides, where whisky has been distilled in the village of Craighouse since 1810. It was part of the range relaunched in 2018, and comes in a 70cl bottle. The whisky is first matured in American white oak ex-bourbon casks, then moved to Oloroso sherry casks for a final period. The distillery uses water from the Bhaille Mharghaidh river. Its character is fruity, with an indirect smoky and salty note that enriches the palate. It is described as a good glass after dinner.
