This is a 12 year old Jura single malt made for the Lunar New Year, the Year of the Dragon, in a 70cl bottle at 40%. It comes in red and gold Year of the Dragon packaging.
The whisky was aged in American white oak ex-bourbon barrels, then finished in Oloroso sherry casks from Jerez.
The nose is honey, toffee and dark chocolate with subtle citrus and oak spice. The palate is rich and rounded, with caramel, fig and roasted almond, gentle smoke and sherry sweetness. The finish is long and warm, with fruit, spice and soft oak.
