Jura 21 TIME is a 21 year old single malt from the Isle of Jura, bottled at 46.7% in a 70cl bottle and part of the Aged Vintage Series.
It was first matured in American white oak ex-bourbon barrels and then finished in ex-peated malt casks. The whisky is a dark amber, autumn gold in colour.
The nose opens with gentle peat, alongside caramel, toasted white sugar and honey, and a touch of sea salt. The palate is ultra-smooth and thick, with chocolate, honey, coffee, tobacco and black treacle, and honey sits alongside the peat smoke. The finish stays with peat and caramel.
