Jura – Seven Wood

Jura Seven Wood is a single malt from the island of Jura, which lies between Islay and the Scottish mainland. It is matured in seven types of French and American oak. The base is American white oak ex-bourbon casks, followed by six French oak casks: Limousin, Tronçais, Allier, Vosges, Jupilles and Les Bertranges. The nose combines ripe peach and apricot with citrus, toffee, caramel, coffee, chocolate and a little sea salt. The palate is full and creamy, with vanilla, honey, brown sugar, berries and orange, plus cinnamon, nutmeg and clove. The finish is long, with fruit, spice, mocha and a lingering touch of vanilla and oak.
