Jura – Two One Two 212 Chinkapin Finish (70cl, 47.5%)

Two One Two is the first in a new series of annual Jura releases, named in honour of the 212 people who live on the island. This single malt was bottled at 47.5% in a 70cl bottle, in an edition of 6000. It matured in American oak and was then finished in Chinkapin oak casks, a North American yellow oak. The casks are said to add notes of roasted pistachio and nutmeg. The nose is very elegant, with lemon cake, cinnamon and creamy toffee. The palate offers poached pear, nutmeg, ginseng and roasted pistachios, and the finish is long.
