Kaiyo "The Single" is a seven-year-old Japanese whisky bottled at 44% in a 750ml bottle. It was made from malted barley on a Coffey still in Japan.
The whisky was matured in Kentucky bourbon barrels, then finished in both Japanese Mizunara oak and Tennessee whiskey barrels. It also spends three months maturing at sea, which is said to bring out the character that Mizunara oak gives. It is not chill-filtered.
