A single cask Karuizawa from the Geisha Label series, distilled in 1970 and bottled by the distillery in 2012 after 42 years in a single sherry butt, number 6227. It is bottled at its natural cask strength of 61.9% in a 70cl bottle, and 433 bottles were filled.
The label carries artwork inspired by one of Japan's best-known cultural symbols. Karuizawa stood at the foothills of Mount Asama and operated from 1955 until it closed in 2000, known for richly textured, heavily sherried whiskies.
