This Karuizawa was distilled in 1981 and bottled in 2012, after 31 years in a single sherry butt, cask 2042. It is at a natural cask strength of 56.7% abv in a 70cl bottle, and only 440 bottles were filled.
It belongs to the Geisha Label series, bottled by Number One Drinks Company for the Taiwanese market. The label artwork is inspired by traditional Japanese woodblock prints. Karuizawa closed in 2000 and the distillery was later demolished.
