Karuizawa – 1975/2007 31 Year Old Distillery Exclusive (70cl, 63%)

This is an official Karuizawa bottling released through the distillery itself as a Distillery Exclusive. The single malt was distilled in 1975, matured for 31 years and bottled in 2007 from single cask 4124. It was bottled without dilution at its natural cask strength of 63%, in a 700ml bottle. The release came a few years after the distillery closed in 2000 and was drawn from the casks that remained. Karuizawa stands at the foot of Mount Asama and is known for richly sherried single malts.
