Karuizawa – 1976/2010 34 Year Old Geisha Label Cask 7818 (75cl, 63.6%)

This is a Karuizawa single malt from Japan, distilled in 1976 and bottled in 2010 after 34 years in a first-fill sherry butt. It comes from a single cask, number 7818, at cask strength of 63.6% ABV, in a 75cl bottle. The label shows a geisha and belongs to the Geisha Label series. Only 554 bottles were produced. The distillery was founded in 1955 in the foothills of Mount Asama, at an elevation of 850 metres. It closed in 2011, having stopped making whisky about a decade earlier.
