A 40 year old single cask Japanese single malt from Karuizawa, the distillery at the foot of Mount Asama that closed in 2000. It was distilled in 1977 and matured in a single sherry butt, number 4139, then bottled by the distillery in 2017.
The strength is a natural cask 64.9% ABV, in a 70cl bottle, and the outturn was 332 bottles. The distillery's style is described as deeply sherried, powerful and rich.
