This is a single cask Karuizawa distilled in 1981 and bottled in 2011 after 30 years in a sherry butt, cask number 8309. It was bottled at 57% by Number One Drinks, the company founded in 2006 by David Croll and Marcin Miller, which acquired the distillery's stocks in 2011.
The 253 bottles were produced exclusively for La Maison du Whisky, the importer founded by Georges Bénitah in 1956. The whisky belongs to the Vintage single cask malt series.
