This is a 21-year-old Karuizawa single malt, distilled in 1991 and matured in a sherry butt, cask number 9091. It was bottled by Whisk-e Ltd. at 63.7% ABV in a 70cl bottle as Lesson III of The School of Malt series.
The label for the series was created by the whisky writer Dave Broom. The series is built around exploring whisky through individual expressions. Karuizawa is a Nagano Prefecture distillery that stopped production in 2000.
