Karuizawa – 1995/2008 13 Year Old Noh Whisky Mei Lu Xiang-Hong Barrel (75cl, 63%)

A single cask Karuizawa, distilled in 1995 and bottled in 2008 after 13 years of maturation. It was bottled at 63% in a 750ml bottle, and 246 bottles were released. It comes from the Noh series, which celebrates one of Japan's traditional performing arts. The label was created by the Kamiasobi Noh Troupe and shows Kanawa, a woman who turned into a demon and tried to harm her husband after he left her for another woman. The distillery closed in 2011, having stopped making whisky more than ten years earlier.
