Karuizawa – 1999/2016 Geisha Label Sherry Cask #895 (70cl, 58.6%)

This is a single cask Karuizawa single malt from the Geisha Label series, distilled in 1999 and bottled by the distillery in 2016. It matured in a single sherry cask, number 895, and was bottled at a cask strength of 58.6% in a 70cl bottle. The release is limited to 320 bottles. Karuizawa was founded in 1955 at the foot of Mount Asama and made its whisky from Scottish malted barley, ageing it mainly in sherry casks. The distillery operated until 2000.
