Kavalan 15 Years Old Four-Cask 2025 Edition is a Taiwanese single malt from the Kavalan Distillery in Yilan County, and the distillery's first age-statement whisky. It belongs to the Time Exploration series and pays tribute to 11 March 2006, the day the first new-make spirit ran from the stills.
It was matured for fifteen years in Taiwan's hot, humid climate. CEO YT Lee blended it from small-batch reserves aged in ex-bourbon barrels, Oloroso sherry casks, Ruby port barrels and large puncheons. It is bottled at 43%.
The nose is dessert-like, with caramel apple mousse, chocolate, walnut and dried tangerine peel. The palate shows bergamot, orange, cranberries, raisins and longan, and the finish is long, with cinnamon, toffee and black date.
