Kavalan – Classic Single Malt Whisky (70cl, 40%)

Kavalan Classic is a Taiwanese single malt from the Kavalan Distillery in Yilan County, in a 70cl bottle at 40% ABV. It has no age statement and was the first whisky the distillery released. It was matured in ex-bourbon barrels together with a selection of wine and sherry casks. The warm, humid climate of Yilan speeds up maturation, drawing flavour from the wood in a shorter time than a cooler region would. The character is described as rich, with tropical fruit, vanilla and spice.
