Kavalan Concertmaster Port Cask Finish is a single malt from the Kavalan Distillery in Yilan County, Taiwan, bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle.
The whisky starts in American oak casks and is then finished in Portuguese ruby Port barriques, a two-stage maturation that adds rich fruit and mellow sweetness.
The nose is tropical fruit, honey and candyfloss. On the palate come vanilla, coconut and ripe berries, in a full-bodied, velvety whisky with natural sweetness.
