This is Kavalan's 15th anniversary release, a Taiwanese single malt bottled at cask strength, 50% ABV, in a 75cl bottle. It was distilled in 2009 and matured in hand-selected American ex-Bourbon barrels for over fifteen years. It is non-chill-filtered.
Vanilla, tropical fruit and a hint of coconut mark the style. The nose is described as bright honey and syrup with roasted almond, stone fruit, malt and toasted bread, ending in rose oil.
On the palate, tropical fruit comes with dense vanilla ice cream and buttery cake. The finish is described as apricot preserves and green figs.
