Kavalan – Podium Single Malt Whisky (70cl, 46%)

Kavalan Podium is a single malt from Taiwan, bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. It matures first in American oak and is then finished in Kavalan refill casks. The distillery's whiskies are reduced with spring water from the Yilan area, which runs down from Snow Mountain. In the glass it is light gold. The nose is floral and sweet, with coconut and vanilla. The palate brings tropical fruit, mango, apple, cherry, honey, pepper and grapes, and the finish is long and varied.
