Kavalan – Solist Peated Single Cask Strength (70cl, 53.2%)

This is a peated single cask single malt from Kavalan, bottled at a cask strength of 53.2% in a 70cl bottle. Smoke sits over the distillery's usual tropical fruit character, which is muted beneath thick smoke and vanilla. The nose combines nuts, vanilla and honey with sweet smoky sea air, stewed apples, pears, pineapple and thick raspberry jam. The palate is warm and thick, with raspberry jam, vanilla, coconut and smoky fruit. The finish is medium to long, with smoky spices and fruit that linger.
