Kavalan – Solist Port Cask (70cl, 57.1%)

Kavalan Solist Port Cask is a single cask bottling from the Taiwanese distillery, part of the Solist series of cask strength releases. It is bottled at 57.1% in a 70cl bottle and is non-chill filtered. The whisky matured in first-fill port casks, whose influence gives it a soft, sweet character. The colour is a dark reddish brown. The nose has strong wood notes with a hint of spice and light sweetness. On the palate there is an intense sweetness of dried fruit, with light wood and touches of raisin.
