Kavalan Solist Vinho Barrique is a Taiwanese single malt whisky, bottled at cask strength in a 700ml bottle. It is a deep amber gold in colour.
The nose combines vanilla and caramelised sugars with dark chocolate, ripe melon, mango, kiwi and a mix of citrus fruits, with pepper in the background. On the palate, juicy fruit and malt come with firm but well-balanced tannins. The finish is long, with malty, persistent vanilla and some fruitiness returning late.
