A cask strength single malt from Kavalan in Taiwan, matured in a Vinho barrique and bottled in a 700ml bottle. The whisky is a deep amber gold in the glass.
The nose combines vanilla and caramelised sugars with dark chocolate, ripe melon, mango, kiwi and a mix of citrus fruits, with pepper in the background. On the palate, juicy fruit and malt sit alongside firm but balanced tannins. The finish is long, with a malty vanilla flavour and some fruitiness returning late.
