Kavalan Triple Sherry Cask is a single malt from the Kavalan distillery in Taiwan, bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle. It is matured in three kinds of sherry cask: ex-Oloroso, ex-Pedro Ximénez and ex-Moscatel. The casks are married before bottling, and maturation takes place in a subtropical climate.
The colour is deep red. The nose combines dried fruit, grapes and citrus with chocolate brownie, caramel sweetness, cinnamon, clover, spice, oak and rosemary. The palate is warm and smooth, with sherried dried fruit, candied fruit, caramel and honey. The finish is long, sweet and spicy.
