This is a high-rye bourbon from Cali Distillery, bottled at 45% in a 750ml bottle. It was created with Nashville recording artist KC Johns, whose personal selection shaped its smoke-led character.
The bourbon is matured in new American oak and sweet toasted French oak, then finished with blackened Sonoran mesquite.
The distillery describes chocolate, coffee, caramel and aromatic mesquite smoke. Mesquite shows on the nose, the palate is sweet with maple, and the close is clean.
