Riptide is a small-batch cask strength straight rye from CALI Distillery, a craft producer working from a small beach town in California. The mash bill is 95% rye with malted barley, and the whiskey is bottled at 118 proof, or 59% ABV, in a 750ml bottle.
The colour is a clear amber. On the palate it is described as rich butterscotch oak alongside rye spice, with an earthy overtone and a smooth feel for its strength.
