Keeper's Heart American Pot Still Whiskey is a cask-strength pot still whiskey from O'Shaughnessy Distilling Company in Minneapolis, Minnesota. It is bottled at 59.04% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
The mash bill combines malted barley, unmalted barley and corn, with the two barleys in roughly equal parts, a nod to Irish single pot still whiskey. The spirit is triple distilled in copper pot stills and matured for four years in virgin American oak. It won a Gold Medal at the San Diego International Wine & Spirits Challenge.
The nose offers baking spices, toasted grain, honey and dried orchard fruit. The palate is rich and viscous, with cinnamon, caramel and toasted oak, and the finish is long, with grain spice, baked apple and dry oak.
