Kelt XO Grande Champagne is a 40% cognac blended from 21 Grande Champagne eaux-de-vie with an average age of 30 years. It is made from Ugni Blanc, double distilled in copper pot stills and aged in Limousin oak.
What sets it apart is the Tour du Monde. After blending, the spirit goes into small 72 litre Limousin oak casks for a three-month sea voyage, which helps spirit and wood integrate.
The nose is honeysuckle, jasmine and vanilla oak, with cedar and aged port notes. The palate is velvety, with maple syrup, apricot, pear, walnut, dried apple and caramel. The finish is long and smooth, with late cinnamon and fading cedar.
