Kentucky Owl Mardi Gras XO Cask is a limited edition Kentucky straight rye whiskey, bottled at 51.4% ABV in a 75cl bottle. It starts with an 11 year old rye, which was then finished for more than a year in Bayou Rum XO casks.
The release was made to celebrate the spirit of Mardi Gras and the pride of Louisiana, and came about through the wide portfolio of Stoli Group.
On the nose there is toasted rye bread with sweet butter, cinnamon, allspice and nutmeg. The palate is full-flavoured rye with sweet butter and allspice, and the finish is smooth and long, ending on warming nutmeg.
