Kentucky Vintage Original Sour Mash Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey (75cl, 45%)

Kentucky Vintage Original Sour Mash is a small batch Kentucky straight bourbon from the Willett Distillery, also known as Kentucky Bourbon Distillers, in Bardstown. It is bottled at 45% (90 proof) in a 750ml bottle. Original sour mash means a portion of a previous fermentation is used to start the next. The bourbon is distilled, aged and bottled in Kentucky, and bottled by hand in small batches in the tradition of the Kulsveen family. The bottle has a parchment style label and a wax sealed medallion. The nose is vanilla, caramel, soft oak and light fruit. The palate is medium bodied, with caramel, toffee, baking spice and gentle grain sweetness, and the finish is clean and mellow with lingering vanilla and oak.
