Kilchoman 100% Islay 11 Years Old is a single malt matured for 11 years in 16 ex-Oloroso sherry butts and bottled at 50% in a 70cl bottle. It is the 2025 edition, and the first 100% Islay release fully matured in ex-Oloroso sherry casks.
The 100% Islay series is made as a single farm malt: the barley is grown on the distillery's own fields, and every stage of production takes place at Kilchoman on Islay.
The nose brings orange peel, dried fruits, light peat smoke and sweet spices. On the palate come rich smoke, dark chocolate with honey, cooked apples and malty sweetness, and the finish carries grilled fruits, plums, currants and lasting wood smoke.
