Kilchoman 100% Islay 14th Edition is an Islay whisky from a distillery founded in 2005. The series is made entirely on the island, from malting through distilling to bottling.
This edition was matured in ex-bourbon and sherry casks and is bottled at 50%.
The nose offers fresh peat smoke, citrus and green apple with vanilla over soft honey. The palate is full and gently smoky, with vanilla sweetness, baked apple and light oak spice, while the sherry casks add deeper fruit and a touch of caramel. The finish is long and balanced, with a peppery note at the end.
