Kilchoman – 100% Islay 15th Edition (50%)

This is the 15th edition of Kilchoman's 100% Islay, a single farm single malt made only from Concerto and Publican barley grown and harvested on the distillery's own farm in 2014 and 2015. It was matured for a minimum of nine years in 54 ex-bourbon barrels and is non-chill-filtered and natural colour, bottled at 50%. Vanilla, caramel and butterscotch from the casks sit alongside citrus sweetness and maritime peat smoke. The palate brings milk chocolate, candied citrus and ripe pear, followed by a lingering, smoky finish.
