This is the thirteenth edition of Kilchoman 100% Islay, bottled in 2023 at 50% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It is made from barley of the 2012, 2013 and 2014 harvests, and the peating level is 20 PPM.
The whisky matured for a minimum of eight years in bourbon barrels, and 13,000 bottles were released.
The nose brings malt bread, apple, banana, citrus, lavender, pear, sea breeze and a hint of peat smoke. The palate is silky, with vanilla, peat smoke and caramel, barley blossom, sultanas and oak. The finish is medium in length, with pastry, butter and honey.
