This is an 11 year old single malt from Kilchoman's 100% Islay range, in which the barley is grown, malted, distilled and matured on the island. It is a limited edition bottled in September 2025 at 50%.
Kilchoman chose 16 ex-oloroso sherry butts from the 2011, 2012 and 2013 vintages for this release, which has a deep red colour. It is non-chill-filtered and of natural colour.
The nose brings warm raisins, stewed fruit, soft peat smoke, cocoa beans and red apple. The palate is rich and sweet with mocha, dark chocolate, caramel, spicy smoke and roasted barley. The finish is long and warming, salty-sweet, with subtle peat.
